THE ORANGE TAB OF LEVI'S MAKES A COMEBACK FOR 2017! Born in 1969, Remastered for Today!

People recognize a pair of Levi’s® jeans by our famous red Tab, a feature first sewn into the left side of the right back pocket of their 501® jeans in 1936.

But did you know that LS&Co. has also used other Tab colors?

In the 1960s, Levi Strauss & Co. introduced an orange Tab on our garments. It was used on fashion and non-basic items such as bell-bottoms and boot cut jeans. Our orange Tab garments differed from our traditional 501® jeans. Some were adorned with fancy pocket stitching instead of our famous Arcuate design, while others sported pintucks or other unusual design elements. Over the years, orange Tab products branched out from jeans to include shirts, ski suits and other activewear. They even added the orange Tab to a variety of accessories, like the Levi’s® orange Tab golf bag.

It might have been the summer of ’69 when you got your first real Orange Tabs somewhere near the Five and Dime. But those affordable slim-fitting jeans, jackets and shirts of yesteryear have been remastered for today. Yes, the Orange Tab is officially back for Spring ’17.

I’m so excited that Levi’s® has revitalized some Orange Tab favorites, capturing the unrivaled style of the coveted originals that symbolized style and youth during the counterculture of the 1960s. Since its initial launch in 1969, old-school Orange Tabs have become the ultimate score for vintage collectors and denim heads alike. You can get the newest collection of this Orang Tab in every levi’s store in Indonesia.

The excited news is YOU CAN GET FREE CUSTOMIZE JEANS if you buy Levi’s product start from 11 till 26 March in Pondok Indah Mall 1,  South Jakarta!

It's common practice for designers to look back to the past in order to design for the future. Take last year's all-consuming '60s movement as proof. But while some time-travel as far back as the renaissance, others have found their childhood to be more than sufficient in supplying ample inspiration, which is something that consumers are more than willing to embrace.

So it makes sense that patches, aka a childhood relic, has found success among the runways and on the streets. It calls to mind simpler days when the biggest stressor in life was figuring out which patch to iron on and where. Well, some things never change—at least for us. Recently, we agonized over which patch to iron on a pair of jeans. Of course, the easiest solution is to buy jeans with patches already embroidered on (no thinking required!), but there's something to be said about a custom, one-of-a-kind creation.

These are some free services that you can ask to Levi's Tailor Shop Team at PIM 1 Mall.
My fave is PATCHESSSSS! LMAO

I say, DIY it all the way! For help, we rounded up a ton of street style (and a few runway) examples for major patch-placement inspo. Go ham and iron them on everywhere, or fastidiously pick one or two for a less-is-more statement. And finally, keep scrolling to shop a few of our favorite patches to give your blues a cool-girl finish. And now, I found favorite place to get my cool jeans from Levi's with patches!

Be it skinny, mom, boyfriend or cropped, distressed jeans are the denim trend that is still going strong.

This is mineeeeee!!! So I do some customize design on my Levi's and here are the results. I put patches, embroidered, and distressed. Yeay! Go make your own now!

Distressed/destroyed denim was huge in the early 2000s — in high school, my biggest fashion goal was constantly saving enough money to buy a pair of ripped jeans from Abercrombie — and while it never really completely went away, it definitely died down a lot. The look is staying around for fall 2016, and it's hard to go into any mall without seeing at least one pair of jeans that feature lots of rips, fraying, and holes.
